Helios 44M 58mm F/2.0 on Sony Alpha 7 ILCE-7
Ciao, ecco una delle associazioni che ritengo per me più divertenti!
La grandissima Sony Alpha 7,una fotocamera mirrorless con sensore FF (1.0x) da 24.3 megapixels prodotta dal 2013, con una sensibilità iso nativa che spazia dai 100 ai 25.600, ed una raffica di 5 FPS fino a 28 RAW. Interessante è la possibilità di utilizzare tempi fino a 1\8.000, prerogativa di macchine di fascia ben superiore di prezzo, anche se ritengo che in fotografia si possano ottenere risultati ottimi anche con macchine di fascia bassissima, dipende da cosa si vuole ottenere.
La rincorsa alle macchine più costose credo abbia fatto il suo tempo.
La qualità d’immagine delle Sony è molto alta e la possibilità di usare ottiche vintage, facilitate dal focus peaking e dallo zoom digitale nel mirino, rendono questa macchina in particolare molto divertente.
Riguardo le dimensioni è più piccola di una classica Reflex, riguardo il solito discorso….feeling materiali e distribuzione pulsanti vi ricordo che con un pollice opponibile e a volte anche senza, è possibile abituarsi a usarla. Con o senza un touch metallico, di pelle, soft, grip e tutte queste che ritengo inutili analisi. La macchina funziona, se poi è la tua, prima o poi ti abitui, se ti piace ti abitui anche più in fretta. In alternativa c’è un fiorente mercato dell’usato su cui metterla a disposizione di utenti curiosi di averla.
In questo caso con un adattatore di basso costo e-mounth/M42 ho montato un Helios 44M 58mm f/2.0.
E’ un obiettivo standard per formato FF e APS-C, fuori produzione. La messa a fuoco avviene tramite Manual Focus, non è presente stabilizzazione d’immagine. Il marchio HELIOS è un nome storico della fotografia in Unione Sovietica ed è strettamente legato al costruttore di fotocamere reflex ZENIT. Il mio Helios 44M ha un diaframma con 8 lamelle, ne esistono di successivi a 6 lamelle, tutti a prezzi bassissimi. Tra quelli con diaframma a 8 o 6 lamelle c’è una differenza di resa ai bordi riguardante il bokeh e lo swirly, l’8 lamelle non apprezza i controluce ma anche questi sono dati tecnici che si perdono facilmente in tecnicismi inutili.
Il piacere di questa coppia può essere ottenuto anche con un Helios rigato con 6 lamelle.
Le immagini che pubblico sono state scattate in luce morbida, verso le 18, questo mese e ovviamente dato il periodo di Covid-19, nel giardino di casa mia.

It is a standard lens for FF and APS-C formats, out of production. The focus is via Manual Focus, there is no image stabilization. The HELIOS brand is a historical name of photography in the Soviet Union and is closely linked to the manufacturer of ZENIT SLR cameras. My Helios 44M has a diaphragm with 8 blades, there are successive ones with 6 blades, all at very low prices. Among those with 8 or 6-blade diaphragm there is a difference in yield at the edges of the photographic image regarding the bokeh and swirly, the 8-blade does not appreciate the backlight but also these are technical data that are lost in unnecessary technicalities.
The images I publish were taken in soft light, around 6 pm, this month and obviously with the Covid-19 pandemic, in the garden of my house.
